I was helped through my diagnosis process, surgery and recovery by many friends and family but ESPECIALLY by two fellow athletes. First, elite Masters Swimmer, Arlene, who overcame her own breast cancer to become a Masters National Champion just weeks after her surgery and my dear Sister-in-Law Maria, a world class/world record holding, RAAM Champion, cyclist. Maria lost her sister to Brain Cancer. Without these two great friends, I couldn't have done it. 

Again, the purpose of this website is to encourage athletes and others that you can get back in the pool or the game after breast cancer!
